Use this page to delete your Apna Awaas account and erase or redact the personal data tied to it. This is the public web resource required by Google Play (account deletion URL). It also meets App Store privacy-information needs and GDPR Article 17 (right to erasure) and DPDP erasure. There is no fee.
This page lives on the marketing website, not inside the Flutter web app. Store listings should link to this Delete or redact account page. Signed-in app users can also delete from Profile → Delete account.
What we delete
- Your login (mobile number), name, email, password, and account status.
- Active sessions and device / push tokens.
- Your society memberships and invitations you have not accepted.
- Family members you added, where they are not required as society records.
What we redact or keep
- Visitor logs, maintenance invoices, expenses, complaints, and duty records your society still needs are kept as society operations. Your name, mobile, and similar identifiers are redacted (replaced with a non-identifying label) unless a legal hold applies.
- Encrypted backups are purged on the normal backup cycle (within 90 days after deletion).
- We may keep a minimal record of the deletion request (mobile, date, completion) for up to two years to show we honoured it.
How long it takes
After we verify ownership with a one-time code sent to the email on the account, we complete deletion or redaction within 30 days.
Last head of a society
If you are the only head of a society, deleting your account would lock remaining members out. In that case we will ask you to appoint another head in the app, or to confirm that the society workspace should be closed. We will not finish deletion until that is resolved, and we will tell you what is still needed.
How to request
- Enter a registered mobile number or email. Account ID and name are optional.
- We send a 6-digit code only to the email already on that account. The form always continues so we do not confirm whether the contact is registered.
- After the code, choose what to redact and submit. You can also email us.
The form is three steps. The code expires in 10 minutes and is limited to five attempts. You do not need to stay subscribed, pay, or complete extra marketing steps.
